Who we are
This site is piersgibbon.com, run by Piers Gibbon, trading as Piers Gibbon Ltd. It is a portfolio and archive of his work as a voiceover artist, conference host, MC and broadcaster.

What we collect, and why
If you contact us through this site or by email, we receive whatever you send: usually your name, your email address, and the content of your message. We use it to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to run that work. It may be handled by Piers or by a colleague or assistant working with him. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else for marketing.
Like almost every website, this one sits on a web server that keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses. Those exist to keep the site running and to defend it against attacks. The site also uses security software that records failed login attempts and blocked requests for the same reason.
We do not use Google Analytics, or any similar service whose purpose is to measure and report on visitors.
Where your data is held
This website and its email are hosted in the United Kingdom.
Content embedded from other websites
Some pages include video and other content hosted elsewhere, including YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. When one of those pages loads, those companies can see that your browser requested their content, and they may set their own cookies and collect data about you in the same way they would if you visited their sites directly. The Facebook component in particular loads on every page. That happens under their privacy policies, not ours, and we have no access to what they collect.
We are reviewing this, and intend to reduce it.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising cookies of its own. Cookies may be set by the embedded services described above, and by WordPress itself if you log in to manage the site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some embedded video may stop working if you do.
How long we keep things
Correspondence and enquiries: for as long as they are useful. Where an enquiry becomes actual work, the associated business records are kept for as long as UK company and tax rules require.
Server and security logs: a short period, typically weeks rather than years, after which they are overwritten.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Please use the contact page at https://piersgibbon.com/contact/ and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK at ico.org.uk. If you are in the EU or EEA, you may also raise it with your own national data protection authority.
Changes
We will update this page when what it describes changes, and the date at the top will change with it.
